Our crab meat is the real thing: authentic Maryland blue crab (Callinectes sapidus), caught and hand-picked in Maryland. We have been doing this for 30 years from our home base in Crisfield, about 100 yards from the Chesapeake Bay.

Hand-picked in Maryland, never machine-processed. Some of our meat is picked right here at our Crisfield house, and the rest is hand-picked by other trusted Maryland picking houses. Wherever it is picked, it is always done by hand by pickers with decades of experience, which protects the sweet flavor and the lump structure you can see in the container.

Choose your grade. Jumbo Lump is the premier grade (large, intact pieces from the back fin, the sweetest and firmest). Gourmet Lump blends jumbo lump with backfin for presentation plus everyday value. Backfin is smaller, shredded pieces that shine in soups, crab imperial, and dips.

Fresh or pasteurized. Fresh is the best-tasting option and is at its peak within 3 to 5 days. Pasteurized is sealed for a refrigerated shelf life of up to a year, so you can order ahead or buy in bulk.

100% Maryland, True Blue Certified. Every container is 100% domestic Maryland blue crab, picked in Maryland, which meets and exceeds the Maryland Department of Agriculture True Blue standard. Most grocery-store crab is imported blue swimming crab from overseas, heavily processed for weeks of transit. The taste and texture are simply not the same.
