Homemade Whipped Butter

This is an easy homemade whipped butter recipe. Delicious with chopped herbs.

  • 16 ounces heavy cream
  • Dash of table salt

Place the cream in a metal mixing bowl. Using the wire whip attachment, whip the cream at high speed until it reaches a butter consistency.

Heavy cream goes through three stages to become butter; cream, whipped cream, and finally butter.

Whip in the dash of salt and scrape the edges of the bowl. Place the butter in a ceramic ramekin and cover it with plastic wrap. Store in the refrigerator.

Makes 2 cups.
