Crisfield Crab Casserole
- ½ cup pimiento
- 2 large green pepper, chopped
- 1 small onion, chopped
- 1 cup finely chopped celery
- 1 pound lump crab meat
- 1 can cream of celery or mushroom soup
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- ½ teaspoon salt
- dash of pepper
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 to 1½ cups bread crumbs
Combine pimiento, green pepper, onion, celery and crab meat. Add soup, mayonnaise and seasoning to crab mixture.
Combine crumbs and butter. Mix ½ cup bread crumbs into crab mixture. Place in baking dish. Cover with remaining crumbs. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Remove from oven. Garnish with mushrooms. Bake for 15 minutes longer.
