Breaded Seafood
Shrimp - Deep fry the shrimp at 350°F for 3 minutes until golden brown.
Clams - Deep fry them at 350°F until golden brown. Premium breaded clam strips - 60 seconds; Super surfer clam strips - 90 seconds; Soft shell clams - 3 to 4 minutes.
Oysters - Fry at 350°F for 5-6 minutes until golden brown and the centers are hot.
Recipe
Bloody Mary Cocktail Sauce
2 tablespoons freshly ground horseradish
1/2 cup store bought ketchup or homemade ketchup
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
2 tablespoons chilled vodka (optional)
Combine the horseradish, ketchup, Worcestershire, salt, and pepper (and vodka, if desired) together and mix until well combined. Serve immediately or store in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.

Crab Derby
The annual National Hard Crab Derby and Fair is held in September over Labor Day weekend in the town of Crisfield, Somerset County, Maryland at the Somers Cove Marina, where there are crab races, a crab picking contest, a crab cooking contest, and the traditional crab feast.
